Interview
What books have most influenced your life? Hopefully all that I have read, or I have wasted my time reading them when I could have been doing something more productive! Truly though, I cannot point to a specific book, but instead those on organizational development that have shaped my career to this point.
Who are your favorite music artists? I like an eclectic mix of music, but currently am spending the majority of time listening to an array of new age artists. I find the music creatively stimulation and relaxing at the same time.
What are your favorite websites and why? My favorite sites are those that offer valuable information. The Internet is a great source of information on an endless number of topics that are ever changing.
Where else can people find you on the web? www.duecanicellars.com www.jfqconsulting.com and you never know where else I will pop up...
What are your professional highlights? Creation of my consulting firm, JFQ Consulting, securing my position as an adjunct professor and most recently building Due Cani Cellars, my winery.
What advice do you have for the journey of life? Experience life to the fullest and find the things that you enjoy and make you happy and success will follow.
What are you most passionate about in life? Maintaining a happy, healthy lifestyle while doing my part to positively impact others.
What ticks you off? I find dishonesty and lack of respect to be those things that I cannot tolerate.
Any thoughts or ideas on living a greener life? I have many ideas on living a greener life~ too many to mention. We should know them all by now... support local producers, carry your groceries in reusable bags, purchase in larger format for those items that are staples to reduce packaging, replace your hot water heater with an on-demand unit, buy wind or solar energy for your home and business, install an energy efficient programmable thermostat in your home, use lady bugs and other natural methods to protect your foliage instead of harmful pesticides...email me for more hints.
What would people be surprised to know about you? I was a terribly unorganized and irresponsible child! I am not sure when the light bulb went on, however, suddenly I woke up one day and realized that I needed to become organized and responsible and take charge of my life!
Philosophy
My philosophy is 'life is an evolution.' Therefore, I am always trying to learn more, improve myself and my way of life. You can learn from everything that you do and you should take the time to experience life to the fullest and appreciate the knowledge and wisdom that you have the opportunity to absorb along the way as you enjoy your time in this world!

1 Tips from Joann Quinn
How to Learn a Language in 90 Days
Truly, the secret to at least becoming comfortable enough to read simple signs, converse enough to get by (you always need to be able to find a bathroom and order food) and not feel utterly lost in a foreign land is to immerse yourself in the language. I have found that learning the language through use is the very quickest way to learn. If you cannot immerse yourself in the language by moving into the middle of a country of native speakers, make flash cards for yourself and use them when you go out to translate simple words- like 'building,' 'street,' 'apple,' and so on. Soon, you will remember the word in both languages. And if you need to go grocery shopping, write your list in the language you are learning (and perhaps bring a dictionary or make a cheat sheet in case you forget). This will solidify words for quick recall.
